Everything starts with a dish...

Someone once said this to me and boy, was he right. Few statements have ever been as pure as this and yet, I found myself not understanding a word of it. Perhaps I was not ready to hear this truth yet. Maybe it was too early in the morning when this was said to me; or maybe it was because the man who said this didn't understand a lick of it either. This man was my grandfather.

This quote has little to do with this blog but it happens to be one of my favorite quotes of all time and considering the majority of the posts will relate to nutrition, and this quote suggests that everything does in fact start with a dish (plate, bowl, casserole dish, etc) I figured I would incorporate it.

So there's that.
